We make every effort to ensure that the information you share with us is recorded accurately, retained securely and used only according to your wishes. We protect your personal information and adhere to all current data protection act legislation with respect to protecting privacy. If you sign up to our mailing list, book tickets, apply to be a volunteer, or give a donation we usually collect your name and contact details. We use this data to provide you with the Atlanta Carnival Entertainment related events, products, services.

We do not share personal information with other organizations. Some of our events are presented in partnership with other companies. We may share anonymised emails with them. We will not otherwise share your personal information with third party organizations.

Mailing ListWe use a third party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We use MailChimp software to help gather statistics on opening rates and clicks on links which help us monitor and improve our communications. Individuals can unsubscribe at any time from newsletters by clicking the unsubscribe link on each e-newsletter.  You can view MailChimp’s privacy notice here.

EventbriteBy purchasing tickets for The Atlanta DeKalb Carnival for an event via our Eventbrite channel, (www.gdif.eventbrite.com), you consent to the collection, retention and use of your personal information in accordance with the terms outlined below:

Collection of informationWe collect your name and contact details when you purchase through Eventbrite to attend an Atlanta Carnival Entertainment event.

How we will use your informationThe information you provide will be used to purchase your . We will also use it to contact you via Eventbrite regarding your ticket purchase.  Unless you opt in to our mailing list you will not hear from us outside of these parameters. Please note that Eventbrite is a third-party service that is not owned or managed by FESTIVAL.ORG. This privacy policy only refers to the way FESTIVAL.ORG will use your information. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By purchasing a ticket for the Atlanta DeKalb Carnival Festival event, the purchaser of the ticket (“Holder”) accepts and agrees to the terms and conditions, which include but are not limited to the following:

No Replacement or Reproduction of Tickets: The ticket purchased cannot be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed, and is valid only for the event and seat (if not a general-admission event) for which it is issued. The ticket purchased is not redeemable for cash. It is unlawful to reproduce the ticket purchased in any form.

Ticket Purchase Limit: No purchaser is allowed to purchase more than twenty tickets for any general-admission event.  Any such purchase over the above limits shall be void.

Revocable License: The ticket purchased represents a revocable license, and any violation of these terms and conditions will automatically terminate this license. Atlanta DeKalb Carnival and it's stakeholders (Atlanta Carnival Entertainment) reserves the right, with or without refunding the face price of the ticket and applicable fees, to revoke the license and/or to refuse admission to any person whose conduct is deemed to be disorderly, who uses abusive language, or who fails to comply with the terms and conditions hereof. Atlanta DeKalb Carnival and stakeholder Atlanta Carnival Entertainment,  reserves the right to take appropriate action, including, without limitation, ejection from the event and legal action, against those who fraudulently obtain wheelchair and companion seats.

Assumption of Risk: HOLDER VOLUNTARILY ASSUMES ALL RISKS AND DANGER OF INJURY, DAMAGE, AND/OR LOSS ARISING OUT OF HOLDER’S ATTENDANCE AT AN EVENT, WHETHER OCCURRING PRIOR TO, DURING, OR AFTER THE EVENT. Holder voluntarily agrees that Atlanta DeKalb Carnival and all its respective agents, officers, directors, owners, and employees are expressly released by Holder from any claims arising from such causes.

Ticket-Exchange and Resale Policy: No refund and no reentry are permitted. Complimentary tickets or equivalent tickets bear no cash value and are not exchangeable/redeemable for any benefits that may be offered to tickets with a dollar value. Holder hereby represents and warrants that Holder will not (a) resell or offer for resale any tickets (whether at a premium or otherwise) and/or (b) use the tickets for advertising or promotions (including prize draws, competitions, contests, and/or sweepstakes) or for any other trade purposes. Unlawful resale, or attempted resale, or resale in violation of these terms and conditions, is ground for seizure and cancellation without compensation. Holder may be able, in some instances, to purchase tickets directly from the venue box office without paying a convenience fee. Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen, or counterfeit, and if so are void.

Limitation of Liability: Atlanta DeKalb Carnival and Atlanta Carnival Entertainment reserves the right, in its sole discretion, whether for safety reasons, weather, business considerations, or otherwise, and with or without prior notice, to cancel or reschedule any event. Tickets are nonrefundable unless the event is cancelled and not rescheduled. In the event of such cancellation, our liability to Holder shall be limited to a refund of the price paid by Holder for the ticket purchase. In no event (including, but not limited to, cancellation of the event for any or no reason) will we be liable to Holder for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages, for lost profits, or for any travel, travel-related, or hotel expenses, whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, tort, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damage. Atlanta DeKalb Carnival shall not be responsible for any damage to or loss of personal property brought to an event.

No Recording of Event: Holder agrees by use of the ticket purchased not to transmit or aid in transmitting any picture, video, sound recording, or reproduction of the performance, exhibition, or event for which the ticket was purchased.

Permission to Use Holder’s Image: Holder acknowledges that the event may be broadcast or otherwise publicized by Atlanta DeKalb Carnival and/or its licensees, and hereby grants permission to utilize Holder’s image or likeness in connection with any live or recorded transmission or reproduction of such event, or for advertising and marketing purposes.

Holder releases Producers from liability for any and all such use or uses, including, without limitation, claims for infringement of any rights.

Prohibited Actions/Items: No smoking is allowed at any event. Certain items may not be brought onto the premises of an event, including, without limitation, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, firearms, or professional cameras or professional recording devices of any kind. The determination of a professional camera or professional recording device is left to the sole discretion of The Atlanta DeKalb Carnival. By using the ticket purchased, the Holder consents to a reasonable search for prohibited items.

Alcoholic Beverages: If alcoholic beverages are offered or served at an event, Holder agrees (a) to fully comply with the rules established by Atlanta DeKalb Carnival from time to time in connection with the service and consumption of such beverages; (b) not to consume such beverages in an irresponsible or excessive manner; (c) not to consume such beverages at all if such consumption by Holder is unlawful or potentially dangerous to Holder or others; and (d) not to serve or furnish alcohol to persons under twenty-one years of age.
